Among countless notable achievements in exploration, five firsts achieved by our members define the legacy of The Explorers Club: first to the North Pole, South Pole, Summit of Everest, deepest point in the ocean, and the surface of the Moon.
To celebrate these historic achievements, The Explorers Club has created a limited edition series of printed posters, all featuring stunning original artwork.
This poster celebrates the first explorers to the highest point on Earth – the summit of Mount Everest. At 11:30 in the morning on May 29, 1953, Nepalese Sherpa Tenzing Norgay and New Zealander Edmund P. Hillary reached the summit of Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak. The two men smiled and shook hands as they stood upon the highest ground on Earth, more than 29,000 feet above sea level.
Available in both 18”x24” or 16”x12”, each poster is museum-quality and made on thick and durable matte paper. Add a wonderful accent to your room and office – or research station!
