Part of our new Explorers Club x Tombolo Collection!
The organic cotton terry cloth ‘Souvenir Tee’ is held together by contrast overlock stitching reminiscent of technical wear from days gone past. Embroidered on the pocket are the diagonal stripes of The Explorers Club flag: the red of courage and the blue of fidelity, framing The Explorers Club initials and compass rose.

SIZING
The reluctant but extremely charming model in our campaign, Brian Gaisford, has been an Explorers Club member for nearly fifty years. He is 5' 10" and is wearing a size M.
ABOUT OUR EXPLORER
Brian has led over 100 safaris in twenty countries, and co-founded Hemingway African Gallery & Safaris with Ernest Hemingway's son Gregory in 1975. Via his gallery, Brian is committed to promoting and elevating art and artists to directly impact economic conditions on the African continent. Brian is also an activist who is committed to conservation by stopping poaching.
STYLING IDEAS
Try incorporating the red of the overlock stitch and flag elsewhere in your outfit (like Brian does with his cap and shoelaces).
SIZING
Our terry tees have a unisex sizing gradient. For men, fit is true to size. For women, order one size down: e.g., if you typically wear a M, order a size S Tombolo. The terry tees have an intentionally boxy fit and drop shoulder. A sizing chart is available in the product images.
CARE & COMPOSITION
100% organic cotton terry (320gsm), carefully engineered to ensure lightweight comfort, breathability and ease of care. This fabric is double-faced - in has terry loops on both sides. Organic cotton uses less water than conventional cotton and no chemicals that can harm the environment and workers. Machine wash cold, and hang dry or tumble dry low. While we preshrink all of our fabric, cotton knit still has a tendency to shrink a small degree (~1-4%) on the first wash. To minimize shrinkage, avoid high heat dryers.
