Climate Week 2026

Climate Week at The Explorers Club returns, at the time when your voice matters most. Alongside the events of the United Nations General Assembly, join the foremost climate & sustainability experts, and the world’s greatest explorers, all in our inimitable headquarters.

Highlighting success stories directly from the field, fundamental changes needed in our everyday lives, and pathways to action in order to protect nature as climate change unfolds.

Join us, and help us change the world.

Tickets for all 5PM and 7PM programs are $50, and include a reception after each event, respectively. Check-in for all events begins a half-hour in advance of the listed time. 

Our Explorers Corner Bar at Club Headquarters will remain open all week until 10:00 pm, so Members & Guests can continue to network after the events. 

Climate Week Passport tickets include access to all ticketed programs September 21-25, as well as special recognition throughout the week. A portion of the Climate Ambassador Pass is tax-deductible and helps support programs like our Climate Week and fund critical climate work around the globe through our grant programs and other initiatives.

Monday at 5PM

The Polar Ocean presents a unique landscape, perfectly suited for Mission Neptune and The Explorers Club co-host their first official event, which marks the beginning of a new partnership dedicated to advancing Ocean exploration, science and public engagement. 

Monday at 7PM

Top worldwide climate leaders return with more leadership insights from the climate vanguard. Featuring Michael Mann, Johan Rockström, Gail Gallie, and more, with moderation and contextualizing commentary from Mathias Wikström, CEO & Founder of Doconomy.

Tuesday at 5PM

A film screening of HHMI Tangled Bank Studios' latest film Plant Life, a story sharing the scientific discoveries of the great Dr. Joanne Chory, followed by a conversation on the future of climate-resilient agriculture with the Salk Institute for Biological Studies as part of their Harnessing Plants Initiative.

Tuesday at 7PM

This experiential event, featuring Didi Bethurum, Jackie Wolford, and Tom Acomb, will include a live diagnostic and case studies in scientific and cultural legacy to demonstrate what physical storytelling can do that no chart or report ever has. Hosted by AOA, a full-service immersive experience design and project management firm founded by former Walt Disney Imagineers.

Wednesday at 5PM

Casey England, a cotton farmer; Agata Smeets, Head of Environmental & Product Sustainability at Gap Inc.; and an agricultural innovator, Dr. Mariano Alvarez will share how collaboration across the cotton value chain is helping strengthen the future of American cotton, from the field to the finished garment.

Wednesday at 7PM

The Wilkes Center for Climate Science & Policy at The University of Utah will announce the winner of The Wilkes Climate Innovation Prize. Working with XPrize, this award seeks bold, high-potential solutions that address significant challenges affecting the climate/energy/economy ecosystem and are positioned to make measurable progress toward real-world use.

Find out which of the nine finalists wins $250,000 whose breakthrough has the potential to significantly advance climate innovation.

Thursday at 5PM

The minds behind ProColombia will take us into the heart of a bio-diverse wonderland which is blending the field work of top scientists and their project sites, with opportunities for visitors to get a peak inside the process, all while supporting local expertise.

The consequences of climate change are now part of our daily news cycle. How do the observations we make shape the decisions taken in the boardrooms of companies, family offices, institutions, and governments? Through this event, the Seabed Curtain Project use the lens of sea level rise to explore how environmental observations and emerging technologies can help us better understand, prepare for, and respond to the challenges ahead.

Hear from the next generation of Explorers Club Members as they tackle the climate challenges around the world. A symposium with presentations curated by the Club's NGEN Committee. 

Friday at 5PM

Across the 12 Western states, including millions of acres of mountains forests, tundra, and grasslands belong to the American Public. Join investigative journalist Cayte Bosler for a conversation about the lands we hold in common–and what meaningful stewardship now requires.

Friday at 7PM

Explore the role art can play in advancing environmental impact through a conversation with Christie’s, Client Earth, Private Square, and Endangered Rainforest Rescue. The discussion will examine how art can mobilize resources, catalyze policy change, and create innovative pathways for meaningful change.
