Part of The Explorers Club x Devold Collection: classic Norwegian wool from Devold, outfitter to polar explorers since the 19th century, customized for The Explorers Club.
Named for Fridtjof Nansen, the Norwegian explorer who made the first crossing of Greenland in 1888 wearing Devold wool. The Nansen Refined is a lighter take on Devold's classic Nansen sweater, knitted from soft 100% pure new wool from Norwegian sheep.
It is warm without bulk, easy to layer under a shell, and just as comfortable in town as it is on a cold day outdoors.
Features custom Explorers Club detailing, made exclusively for the Club.
Featuring:
Devold has made wool garments on the west coast of Norway since 1853. Its sweaters went with Fridtjof Nansen across Greenland in 1888 and on Roald Amundsen's polar expeditions, and the company still uses wool from Norwegian sheep for its knitwear today.
Limited edition. By purchasing your Nansen Sweater through The Explorers Club, you are supporting the scientific exploration of the oceans, land, air, and space, as well as research and education in the physical, natural and biological sciences.
