Join author Amanda Bellows and The Explorers Club on Monday, September 9th for a discussion about American explorers who have been overlooked in history!

In her new book, The Explorers: A New History of America in Ten Expeditions, historian Amanda Bellows tells the stories of a diverse cast of ten extraordinary—and often overlooked—adventurers, who pushed the boundaries of discovery. From James Beckwourth and Florence Bailey to Harriet Chalmers Adams and Matthew Henson, American explorers went to the western frontier and beyond, traversing the farthest reaches of the globe and even penetrating outer space in their endeavor to find the unknown. Many escaped from lives circumscribed by racism, poverty, or discrimination as they took on great risk in unfamiliar territory.

In-person tickets are $20 for Members, and $35 for the General Public.
