The Explorers Club Maasai Beaded Belt
Beaded entirely by hand in Kenya by Maasai women whose craft has been passed from mother to daughter for centuries, each belt carries more than 6,000 glass beads in The Explorers Club colors — strung over two to three days, not in a factory, but in the manyattas and backyards where this work has always been done.
Our belts are made in partnership with Manyatta, a British company with deep roots in Kenya, whose beadwork supplies some 300 clubs, schools, and regiments — from Lord's to the Club. Every order puts income directly into the hands of the women who make them, in communities where this work is often the only source of earnings.
