🟥 100% Organic Cotton Poplin (135gsm). Unisex Sizing.
🧭 Cut from crisp, organic cotton poplin with 60’s-style camp collar construction.
🟦 Screenprint of The Explorers Club’s iconic flag on the wearer’s left chest. The flag has flown at both poles, from the highest peaks of the greatest mountain ranges, traveled to the depths of the ocean, to the lunar surface, and outer space.
🧭 Front pockets with signature ‘v’-slit pocket openings.
🟦 Pale blue contrast collar, cuffs, back darts, and pocket openings.
🧭 Custom ‘compass rose’ engraved buttons.
🟥 Red contrast under-collar.
🧭 Custom woven interior contract label.

SIZING

The reluctant but extremely charming model in our campaign, Brian Gaisford, has been an Explorers Club member for nearly fifty years. He is 5' 10" and is wearing a size L.

Brian has led over 100 safaris in twenty countries, and co-founded Hemingway African Gallery & Safaris with Ernest Hemingway's son Gregory in 1975. Via his gallery, Brian is committed to promoting and elevating art and artists to directly impact economic conditions on the African continent. Brian is also an activist who is committed to conservation by stopping poaching.

STYLING IDEAS

Wear it buttoned up, or unbuttoned over a beige or white tank top. For women, this shirt looks great with a pair of jeans, or khaki or linen shorts.

UNISEX SIZING

We believe these shirts are for everyone. Our sizing reflects this with one unisex gradient. For men, fit is true to size. For women, order one size down: e.g., if you are typically a size M, order a size S in Tombolo. A sizing chart is available in the product images.

CARE & COMPOSITION

100% organic cotton poplin (135 gsm). Crisp and cool to the touch. Organic cotton requires significantly less water to grow than conventional cotton and ensures no herbicides or pesticides harm the environment and workers. Machine wash in cold water, followed by hang drying or tumble drying on low to avoid shrinkage.
